More soldiers deployed to end Cape Town taxi wars

Cape Town – More soldiers will be joining the South African Police Service in Cape Town, to put an end to the ongoing taxi wars.

Since the beginning of the year, at least 80 people have been killed in taxi-related shootings.

Violence had grippled the city once again over the last two weeks, despite a peace agreement between warring factions.

Now, local government and police are focused on restoring calm in the province.
