JOHANNESBURG- Mamelodi Sundowns scored their first goal in their match against Barcelona at the FNB Stadium.

Barcelona won the game 3-1 lead at the Nelson Mandela centenary match against Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium, thanks to goals from André Gomes, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele.

Barça showed their football dominance, breaching the Mamelodi Sundowns defence with ease and at times made it look like a practice match.

Barca striker Luis Suarez doubled Barcelona’s lead on the half-hour mark as the Catalan giants took a comfortable 2-0 lead into have time.

Coach Ernesto Valverde brought in the changes at half-time, seeing the introduction of Brazilian stars Phillipe Coutinho and Paulinho before Lionel Messi was introduced with 30 mins to go.

Barca scored their third goal through Andre Gomes however Sibusiso Vilakazi made sure Sundowns came away with at least a goal, as this was the first goal for Sundowns against Barcelona.

Sundowns now shift their attention on their CAF Champions’ League Group C match against Guinea side Horoya.while

Barcelona finish their league season as league champions, with their last home game against Real Sociedad.
