NFP MEDIA STATEMENT-
National Freedom Party, strongly disagree with the notion of MEC Sihle Zikalala and Premier Willies Mchunu to allow former President Jacob Zuma inside KwaZulu Natal Legislature sitting.
NFP believes that all guests must sit on the Gallery not inside the House as it is not permitted unless you are a member of the provincial legislature or an official of KZN Legislature(delegated for a specific task), the decision to allow former President Jacob Zuma was driven by ANC factions happening in the province.
The NFP strongly condemn this hence all member’s of the provincial legislature of the NFP decided to leave the chamber today before MEC of Agriculture tables the budget. says Vikizitha Mlotshwa NFP KwaZulu Natal Provincial chairperson.
We are not surprised by what has happened today, we are also aware that there are committees like the public participation committee, chaired by MPL Bishop Vusi Dube, whom we have seen co-ordinating and leading the march in defence of the former ANC president Jacob Zuma at his court appearance last month.
This committee has use Public Participation funds to run the event held on the (20th April 2018 at Jozini) in which the former President Jacob Zuma was also invited as the guest speaker.
