Ngoma eager to return from injury

Aubrey Ngoma, winger for Cape Town City is still making his way back from injury but has hopes to get a few run out before the end of the year.

He was one of club’s best players last season, but has not been featured at all in the current campaign due to his knee injury.

The former AmaTuks and Orlando Pirates attacker is hopeful of getting in some game-time within the next month or two.

“I’ve started with light training sessions with the team and so far so good,” he said.

“I’m also hoping to be back in action in a few weeks or so, hopefully in a few games or so before the Christmas break. But yes, we’ll have to wait and see.”

Speaking of City’s defeat last week he said, he hopes his side can take some lessons into the the next cup competition, the Telkom Knockout.

The Cape side were on Monday drawn against league leaders BarokaFC in the tournament they won last season.

“Baroka are having the time of their life at the moment,” Ngoma said.

“They haven’t lost a single match in their league campaign so far this season, so I believe that it’s going to be a very interesting fixture for both of us.” Ngoma said.

He also said that he believe the team could have done differently in the MTN8 final.
