Johannesburg – Police have confirmed that one person was killed in a mob justice attack in Diepsloot overnight.
Tensions in the township spilled onto the streets on Wednesday with residents saying they are tired of crime in the area.
Community members claim about seven people were killed there in just one week.
Others blame the crime and violence on undocumented foreign nationals.
Police Minister Bheki Cele and new National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola visited the area and promised to deploy more resources.
