Passenger goes on Facebook Live as plane with damaged window makes emergency landing- WATCH

Philadelphia-  A Southwest Airlines jet with part of an engine cover ripped off and a damaged window made an emergency landing at Philadelphia’s airport on Tuesday, and at least one passenger was taken to the hospital in a critical condition.

Seven passengers were injuried and were treated for minor injuries according to officials.

The airline said 143 passengers and five crew members were on board the Boeing 737, it was headed from New York’s LaGuardia Airport to Dallas’ Love Field.

Most passengers walked off the plane onto the tarmac at the airport after landing around 11:20.

Amanda Bourman a passenger recounted what she witnessed, she saw a emergency medical workers using a defibrillator to help a woman who was taken off the plane after it landed. However the woman’s condition was not quickly known.

According to some reports a woman was partially sucked out of the plane after a shrapnel from the engine broke and hit a window of the plane where she was seated.

The woman, a resident of New York said she was seated near the back of the plane and was asleep when she heard a loud noise. She explained the plane was somewhat quiet because fellow passengers were wearing an oxygen mask, some were in tears and others shouted words of encouragement as realisation of what just happened.

The plane landed after the crew reported damage to one of the engines, including their fuselage and damage to at least one window according to the FAA.
