Percy Tau is keen to commit to a future with Brighton & Hove Albion despite his lack of game time in England.
Tau has seen more of the bench than the pitch in his six months at Brighton, but insists that he is keen to stay and fight for his place.
Tau believes he had not had enough game time for the club to consider a loan move.
“I don’t think anyone is thinking of that (a loan deal) at this stage. It has been six months that I’ve been at Brighton. And if they were to loan me out, it would be based on what exactly? I didn’t play enough. I am looking to fight for my position,” said Tau.
“We are still on the same page with the club. They still want me to stay and play. And I also want to fight for my position. You know what they say, they say you want to see the future. As things stand at the moment, we are both on agreement terms,” added Tau.
This is testament to the attitude that has taken Tay this far in his career. The willingness to be positive and fight to earn his place in the starting team.
Despite only appearing six times in five months at Brighton, Tau is keeping a positive attitude about his future at the Seagulls.
