Los Angeles – On Monday thousands of fans streamed to and shut down Hollywood walk of fame after 90s boy band *NSync were recognised for their hit making run that made Justin Timberlake to pop superstar.
The heartthrob was joined by his bandmates Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick to receive their star on the iconic thoroughfare, with guests such as tv talk hosts Ellen DeGeneres and Carson Daly.
Timberlake said to the screaming crowd, “For all of you who came from far and wide to be here to share this moment with us, thank you so much – this really means the world to all of us.”
The band went on a described a “hiatus” in 2002 but have not performed together since, except for a brief reunion in 2013 when Timberlake received an award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Bass said to his bandmates during the ceremony, “We’re brothers, we’re family, and out of all this, the music, the tours, the love from the fans – it’s my brotherhood with you guys that I’m most thankful for.”
Fatone on the other hand took the opportunity to make fun of Timberlake’s superstar status compared to the rest of the group, he said, “You can also see me performing at Chuck E. Cheese next week.”
