Pitso Mosimane issues update on R54-million contract status amidst rumours

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane is only one year into his R54-million per annum contract, but there are already rumours of him being potentially fired.

Mosimane responded saying: “I am not worried about renewing my contract at all, I only focus on doing my job”.

He is not concerned with rumours or drama around his current job status. The Al Ahly coach is focused on his job at hand.

56-year-old Mosimane has already led the Al Ahly to the Egyptian Premier League, two CAF Champions Leagues, the CAF Super Cup, Egyptian Super Cup and a historic Bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup.

He did all this in his first year in charge and he is only one year into what was initially a 2-year deal.

Should Al Ahly unfortunately not renew his contract, he will not have a problem finding a new club.

Mosimane is arguably one of the best coaches in Africa and will be an asset to any club who he coaches.
