PARIS- Porsche is considering entering Formula 1 in 202.
Gerhard Berger legendary F1 the boss of the German touring car series DTM revealed this desire when he spoke to Auto Bild,
Footage released recently of Porsche attempt to unofficially break the F1 circuit record at Spa-Francorchamps with its modified Le Mans car.
Porsche is thinking about F1 entry, the video is more evidence that the German automaker is taking seriously the F1’s proposed engine rule changes for 2021.
Berger told Auto Bild, “Porsche is thinking about a F1 entry for 2021. They are just waiting for the new engine regulations, which should be published in May, and then will decide.”
Ross Brawn F1 Liberty Media said, “We want to have big names like Porsche in formula one and are creating the environment for it.”
