Johannesburg – Popular entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela, on Monday shared a post on Twitter alleging that former Isibaya actor Menzi Ngubane has been hospitalised.
“actor has been admitted to hospital with a recurring kidney problem. The reports paints a dire situation,” Mphela said on his post.
That one tweet sent fans into a frenzy and starting a #PrayForMenziNgubane thread. Twitter users have used the thread to create a prayer circle for the actor.
Following his post leading to the hashtag, Mphela asked the Twitter users to calm down in a follow-up tweet: “That update is freaking people out! Okay, let’s wait for a positive verification. I apologise,” said Mphela.
Ngubane’s family is yet to confirm whether or not the actor has been hospitalised.
