JOHANNESBURG- The presidency revealed on Wednesday that they will be filling an affidavit that will be detailing misconduct allegations against suspended Sars commissioner Tom Moyane.
In March President Cyril Ramaphosa suspended Moyane and has recently appointed a commission of inquiry to investigate revenue collection under Moyanes leadership.
Moyane legal counsel have accused the president of being unprofessional after the Ramaphosa missed his own deadline to hand in the affidavit last Friday.
Khusela Diko from the presidency said they have communicated with the presiding officer and Moyane’s lawyer informing them about the delay, saying the reasons were that the document was comprehensive and quite long.
“We can confirm that the Presidency will be filing today the evidence detailing the charges that have been brought against Mr Tom Moyane. There was a little bit of a delay in processing this.”
