LONDON- The Crown Court has dismissed charges against Barclays Bank and its owner Barclays PLC over billions of pounds raised from Qatar in 2008.
The charges were potentially serious for Barclays because if they had been found guilty, they could have lost their banking licence.
However Barclays said that the battle is not over and are expecting Serious Fraud Office to try and reinstate the charges by applying to the High Court.
Barclays also still have to worry over their former employees (bankers) who are still facing charges over the Qatari investment.
