LONDON- Queen Elizabeth made a surprising appearance at London fashion week, as the 91 year old monarch attended designer Richard Quinn fashion show.
The Queen was dressed in pale blue suit, a significant look for her as she sat next to American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour in the front row.
After the show she presented the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to Richard Quinn.
The award recognizes a positive role a designer plays in the fashion industry by influencing society and diplomacy, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
“Richard creates garments with attention to innovative fabrications, focusing on his ability to combine unique handcrafted skill with a refined high fashion sensibility.”
