Johannesburg – The good news for South Africans who suffered financially during lockdown is that the R350 Social Relief Grant of Distress grant will remain in place.
President Ramaphosa addressed South Africans on the response to the Covid-19 pandemic on Monday and lifted the National State of Disaster.
The grant was first introduced in May 2020 to assist people in meeting their most basic needs.
During his address, Ramaphosa announced transitional measures, which will automatically lapse after 30 days, including mandatory masks indoors, restrictions on gatherings, and international travel requirements.
