PORT ELIZABETH- Kagiso Rababa Proteas top fast bowler has been suspended for the rest of the series after he was found guilty of his over the top send offs of Australian captain Steve Smith and David Warner where he screamed in the face of David Warner after getting that wicket. He was also found guilty of ‘inappropriate and deliberate physical contact with a player’.
The demerit system saw him banned for two Tests matches.
Rabada told the media on Monday after the team win the second tests to level up the series to 1-1, he said, “I’ve let myself down and the team down.”
“I have to see it as a learning curve and not repeat the same mistake
“It gives me a chance to do other things and improve my game and think about things a bit more.
“I’m not happy about it, but time moves on.”
Rabada has had support from some in the cricket community, former England batsmen South African born Kevin Pieterson slammed the decision, he said he is glad to be not playing test cricket in today’s climate, he Tweeted,
I’m pretty happy not to be playing Test cricket when you scream a couple times with passion, give a few sends off & then get banned!
My baptism into Test cricket in 2005 was a WHOLE lot worse!
And, that’s what made it fun, competitive & separated men from boys!

SICK & TIRED of sledging chat still going on!
It’s TEST cricket. You’re not going to stop it!
Red blooded males going head to head in a sporting arena. Tempers will flare!
Let them sort it out themselves!
They’re all big boys!
