Hunan Province China- They call it Heaven’s gate, but it is a massive natural cave which collapsed seventeen centuries ago. This was the setting for suggested by Land Rover to drive the Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid up to the arch.
With all wheel drive, with electric motors driving the front wheels, the Rangie P400e PHEV could indeed get up the test stairway.
There’s the stairway, 999 steps of it (St Helena’s notorious Jacob’s Ladder has ‘only’ 699) much of it rising at 45 degrees.
Land Rover asked local authorities to drive their Range Rover sport plug in hyrbrid up the arch, local authorities said bluntly that it couldn’t be done. Two words, they said: “Im. Possible.” While in these picture the Range Rover prove them wrong.
