Regular bus passenger who missed fatal commute tells his story

Pretoria – One man was lucky to escape a horror crash in Pretoria.

Emergency services said 15 people were killed and 26 others injured in a collision between a bus and truck in Ga-Rankuwa.

Sello Ramokgadi usually catches the bus but did not go to work on Friday.

He said there have been numerous complaints about the bus driver’s bad driving, but no action was taken.

“We’ve been complaining over and over and over until this happened. I was supposed to be in this bus but didn’t because of the shutdown.”

“I know the people dead. I travel with them every day, Monday to Friday,” he said.

“We’ve been complaining about a number of these drivers. including this one.

“Not all of them are problematic. But I won’t lie, this one…”
