Report- MDC women ‘fast’ for Chamisa election victory

HARARE- Members of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Alliance women’s assembly are reportedly fasting “to ensure their presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa emerges victorious” in the forthcoming elections.

News Day MDC Alliance’s national women chairperson Lynette Karenyi urged more women to join in the fasting programme which she said would be carried out every Friday.

She further went to say that MDC- Alliance women assembly would camp outside the elections polling stations on the day of voting, to ensure that their leader becomes president of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabweans will head to the polls on July 30.

According to eNCA, 5,5 million Zimbabweans have registered to vote.
