Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena has revealed how impressed he is with Teboho Mokoena’s character.
Speaking to media, Rhulani said Mokoena asked for video clips of himself and those of Sundowns upon his arrival from SuperSport United.
According to Rhulani, Mokoena requested the clips to know how Sundowns play and how he would fit in at the club. While Mokoena is already a top-player, Rhulani said their responsibility as a club is to make the Bethlehem-born midfielder a better player.
While Mokoena has done in his short stint at Sundowns is to win the hearts of his new teammates.
“As a human being, I have been blown away by Teboho’s character. The first day he arrived, he asked for his videos clips, he asked for the team’s video clips in relation to our principles and our schemes. He wanted to know how we play,” said Rhulani.
“He invests a lot of time into the game. After the Richards Bay game, he had his notes and his corrections.
“Our responsibility now is to make him a better player. A good human being with exceptional work ethic, coachable and he has won the hearts of his teammates already.”
Mokoena opened his scoring account with a stunning goal as Sundowns beat Chippa United 2-0 on Monday night.
