Rocking the Two-Wheel Track at the AutoTrader SA Bike Festival

JOHANNESBURG – The AutoTrader SA Bike Festival, which is powered by Discovery Channel, is said to return to the legendary Kyalami Raceway with the already fan-favourite #RocoMamas Custom Bike Championship in tow. It’s the third year for the wildly successful event, and it will take place from May 25-27, 2018.

RocoMama’s two-wheel philosophy is ‘Custom bikes, custom burgers, and it will deliver even bigger in 2018. The championship will expand, adding to it more classic and retro categories whilst still maintaining its fan-favourite base of a nationwide search for the best restored, maintained, hand build and customised motorcycles.

The festival will have legends and veterans of the industry which includes iconic international judge and builder Frank Sander, as well as legendary trio Phillip Solomons, Cor Leijenaar and Robert Coutts from the 2 Stoke Club represent home-grown expertise.  The visitor-judged People’s Choice Trophy remains in 2018.

All participant’s entries will be FREE, plus the top sixty bike-owners chosen will get all-weekend passes to attend the festival at their leisure.

“Custom bikes and custom burgers- what more could you ask for from a day out?” AutoTrader CEO, George Mienie said. “We are looking forward to seeing South African bike creativity at its best.” He added.

The RocoMamas Custom, Vintage, Classic and Retro Championship prize giving will take place on the festival’s main stage at 3pm, Sunday 27 May.
