Rolls-Royce unveils Silver Ghost collection

JOHANNESBURG-  The Rolls Royce is seen as the car that changed the automotive industry forever. The legend was retold on Wednesday as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars proudly announced the creation of a collection of 35 model year 2018 Rolls-Royce Ghosts, created in homage to the original Silver Ghost’s achievement.

In 1904 Rolls Royce begun with a pioneering motorist, an entrepreneur and an intrepid engineer with an ambition to succeed. Their challenge was to create an automotive with luxury, this challenge was completed by The Hon. Charles Rolls and Claude Johnson in Sir Henry Royce’s ‘Silver Ghost’. The car achieved a non-stop long distance endurance record of 14 371 miles.

It become a benchmark for excellence in motoring.

The company is celebrating the engineering excellence with 2018 Bespoke Ghosts.

2018 Bespoke Ghosts will be created at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex. Thirty-five car makes  will excite the contemporary masterpiece of automotive history, as the Bespoke Collective of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars envisions the ‘Silver Ghost Collection’.

The Hallmark of AX201 will be specially created and the registration plate of the original ‘Silver Ghost’ will be marked on the base of each muse by the British Assay office, an honour reserved for few.

The finishing touch to complete the collection is a rare and collect-able Silver Ghost Hamper a blend of Bespoke Design with the finest craftsmanship.
