SABC Board Changed Overnight

CAPE TOWN – New members of the SABC board have been appointed by the President Jacob Zuma for a five year period, yesterday in Cape Town, with immediate effect.

President Jacob Zuma has appointed 11 members to the new SABC board, which will last a whole term of five years.

The new members of the SABC board include Febe Potgieter-Gqulube, Krish Naidoo, Khanyisile Kweyama, John Matisonn, Mathatha Tsedu, Rachel Kalidass, Michael Markovitz, Bongmusa Makhathini, Victo Rambau, Dinkwanyane Mohuba and Jack Phalane.

Jacob Zuma ensured to appoint fully qualified agents who understand the media as well as the SABC as a whole.

None of the new or old members of the board have released any statements on what they think of the new change. The company is yet to hold a press conference to officially declare the new board members.

The new members will take charge with the decision making of the channel and the shows to SABC 1, SABC 2 and SABC 3.

Social media has mixed emotions with the views of the new board members, some even complaining about the time frame the new members were given.

The DA also congratulated the new appointed members and wishing them a great job.

More news will be reported on the outcome of the members chosen to be part of the new board team.
