Samwu calls for action over JRA scandal

Johannesburg – The South African Municipal Workers Union says it is disturbed by allegations of corruption at Johannesburg Roads Agency.

This is after a forensic report revealed irregular expenditure of more than R400 million at the roads agency.

The union is calling for those responsible to be brought to book.

At the same time, the Independent Municipal and Allied Trade Union say it’s unsettled about the revelations in the forensic report.

The trade union says those implicated must be held accountable.
