SAWS warns Limpopo, Musina and Mpumalanga about fire

Cape Town – According to the South African Weather Services (SAWS) 30% to 60% rain is expected in most parts of the country, except central and the north western interior in this week.

 

The SAWS also issued fire warnings to people residing in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

 

People in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape mountains as well as the Drakensburg should expect snow on Friday.

 

Fire warning

The SAWS has issued a warning for extremely high fire conditions in Limpopo and the northern part of Mpumalanga as well as Kruger National Park.

 

Rain

There will be 30% chances of rain in the southwest of the Western Cape province, Limpopo, Gauteng, the eastern parts of the North West province as well as the Free State province.

 

The western parts of Mpumalanga should expect isolated rain, while the eastern parts including Nelspruit should expect 60% chance of rain. Then the central parts of KZN as well as thesouth coast of the Western Cape should also expect at least 60% chances of rain.

 

Snow

The South African snow report predicts snow flurries to land in the Eastern Cape and Western Cape provinces on Friday and Saturday morning.
