School closed for weeks after water access is shut down

Durban -Stanger Heights Primary School in Durban has had no access for weeks now.

The school was forced to shut its doors due to the water cut.

The school owes the municipality more than R300,000 and there have also been reports of underground leaks.

Parent Innocent Mthembu, one of the organisers of the collective action, said learning materials have been sent to parents through WhatsApp in place in in-person teaching.
