
JOHANNESBURG- Caster Semenya South Africa’s star female athlete, Caster Semenya won a second gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Running in her favoured and specialized 800m on Friday, Semenya outshined her competitors as SA’s queen of the track easily won to victory, adding to her successful tournament earlier in the week, winning gold in the 1 500m.
Semenya set a new Commonwealth Games record of 1:56.68.
Kenya’s Margaret Wambui was a distant second in 1:58.07, while Jamaica’s Natoya Goule took bronze in 1:58.82.
South Africa now have totally of 35 medals, 13 gold, 10 silver medals and 12 Bronze medals.
