Shivambu rubbishes reports he used his influence to get home loan from VBS

JOHANNESBURG – EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu is rubbishing reports that he used his influence to get a home loan from VBS Mutual Bank.

The Daily Maverick has reported that from their investigation unit, Scorpio, that leaked emails show his brother Brian received R1.46-million, after the EFF deputy president held talks with VBS chair Tshifhiwa Matodzi.

Shivambu has called the reports a desperate act from the publication for relevance.

The report says the home loan is registered under Sgameka Trading, a company Brian Shivambu allegedly owns.

VBS bank collapsed after over R2 billion was looted from the bank, from prominent political figures and businesses.
