Johannesburg – Sindisiwe Manqele, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the murder of her rapper partner and Skwatta Kamp member Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi on March 9, 2015, has been granted parole.
In 2016, Manqele claimed she stabbed her lover in self-defense, but the presiding judge denied her claim, saying the force she used to plunge a steak knife into his chest demonstrated intent to kill.

According to a statement by the Department of Correctional Services, “Manqele takes full responsibility for the offence she committed and is remorse about it.”
“She completed all the identified programmes as per her Correctional Sentence Plan and participated in the Victim-Offender Dialogue in 2018,” read the statement.
