Six prisoners escape maximum prison

Limpopo – Six prisoners who escaped from the Kutama Sinthumule maximum prison have been identified.  It is said that these prisoners escaped following a riot in the early hours on Friday.

They are still on the run.

 

Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said when they counted the prisoners who escaped the number amounted to 6 but now the number has risen to 7.

 

Mojapelo also went on to say that the police managed to found out that one of the prisoners is  is a 37 year old has also escaped. This 37 year old man who is identified as Chris Faku is said to have been in prison has been serving his sentence after being sentenced of robbery with aggravating circumstances.

 

The 6 other prisoners are:

 

Jabulani Issac from Pretoria, born in 1986, imprisoned for two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault

 

Phathutshedzo Nemadodzi from Thohoyandou, born in 1983, imprisoned for murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances

 

Ntshengedzeni Manukha from Thohoyandou, born in 1992, imprisoned for rape and robbery with aggravating circumstances

 

Ntshavheni Thomas Munyai from Riverside, born in 1988, imprisoned for murder

 

Zimbabwean national Nyota Raphaelj, born in 1987, imprisoned for house breaking and theft

 

Mozambican national Justice Makamo, born in 1990, imprisoned for rape, business robbery and common robbery.

 

The police has appealed with the community members to call the nearest police station as soon as they see these prisoners.
