Slain ANC MP Sibu­siso Radebe ‘was with lover’

JOHANNESBURG-  According to a Sowetan report on Thursday, slain ANC MP Sibusiso Radebe was shot and killed in cold blood, as his helpless girlfriend watched.

Radebe was killed outside his girlfriend’s Roodepoort home on Tuesday evening according to the report.

It is alleged that the MP was in a relationship with the 35-year-old bank consultant‚ despite being married since 2017 according to the woman’s father  who was quoted by the paper.

The father said he witnessed one man shoot Radebe while he was laying on the ground, he said his daughter fled the scene to go seek for help.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Kay Makhubela said,  “The suspects then reportedly made off in a Ford Fiesta‚ dark in colour‚ with unknown registration. The motive is unknown‚ and the police investigation is under way.”

The police did confirm that Radebe was shot in the head and leg, during what is a suspected to be a robbery. Police said they are looking for two suspects in connection to the crime.

Lungile Dube the family’s spokesperson for the Radebe’s said they were shocked and sadden by his violent death, and that Radebe did live with his wife and children in their home in the south of Johannesburg.

Dube however refused to comment on the alleged extra-martial affair.
