UAE – Police force in the United Arab Emirates have deployed smart helmets that are said to scan temperatures of hundreds of people every minute.
This smart technology ensures that people are screened for the virus in a manner that requires less time and less contact than the traditional thermometer.
The device scans up to 200 people from 5 meters away. When a person with a high fever is detected, an alarm is triggered and the necessary measures are taken to stop the person and ensure that they are checked by paramedics and then taken to the nearest facility.
The device is manufactured by a Chinese company, KC Wearables, which has sold over 1000 of these and received orders from the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
