South Africa’s national soccer team, Bafana Bafana, will play it’s qualifying match for the 2018 soccer world cup this Saturday.
Bafana Bafana are finalising their preparations for this 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Burkina Faso at FNB Stadium. While this is happening there have been reports that tickets sales are at a standstill.
South Africans seem to have lost faith in the national team and do not believe that they will qualify for the 2018 soccer world cup. Only over 300 tickets have been sold for an international game of such a high magnitude.
Soccer ticket prices were even halved in an attempt to up sales but this has not changed the situation.
The last match played by Bafana Bafana at the FNB stadium was against Brazil and they lost the game by 5-0.
Fans have not shown interest in any to the Bafana Bafana games as the team loses most of its matches.
South Africans did support Bafana Bafana during the Soccer World Cup that was in South Africa in 2010. The team lost progression on to round 16.
The team has won some games after that but they have lost support.
The 2018 Soccer World Cup qualifiers third round will be this Saturday, October 7 at 3:00pm.
