SONA 2022: Most promises were not fulfilled says Meshoe

Johannesburg – Leader of the ACDP Kenneth Meshoe says President Cyril Ramaphosa failed to fulfill numerous promises he made during his previous state of the nation address.

Meshoe says his biggest concern is the state of the country’s security or lack thereof.

He says this may open doors to terrorism.

“Most promises that the president made last year were not fulfilled and that is why many South Africans are not and they are saying they will not watch anymore because they are not told the truth,” said Meshoe.

“The president also has a habit of saying one thing and doing the opposite so this year we are hoping that the president will focus on main issues that are worrying South Africans.”

Meanwhile, Meshoe says President Cyril Ramaphosa needs to put action to his promises this time around especially with youth unemployment.

He added that the President needs to also focus on the state of the country’s security as it’s a major point of concern for investors.
