An Unforgettable Journey 'In The Stars’.

As the days dwindle down to the highly anticipated Rocking the Daisies 2024, excitement is reaching a fever pitch.

Scheduled from October 3 to 6, this year’s festival promises an enchanting experience themed “In the Stars”.

Festival-goers can expect a dazzling array of musical performances, immersive activities, and unique fashion all set in the picturesque Cloof Wine Estate.

This year’s lineup showcases an impressive mix of local and international talent, making it a must-attend event for music enthusiasts.

“We’ve carefully curated a selection that reflects the diversity and creativity of our artists,” said festival organiser Alex De Villiers.

“Every performance will be a cosmic experience.”

Headlining the festival is Snoh Aalegra, known for her soulful melodies and emotive performances. Other notable international artists include Mick Jenkins, the Chicago-based rapper celebrated for his thought-provoking lyrics, and Ayra Starr, the Nigerian Afropop sensation capturing hearts globally.

Rounding out the lineup are artists like 6lack and Smino, promising a mix of R&B and neo-soul that will leave festival-goers buzzing.

The local lineup is equally impressive, featuring icons such as Nasty C, Shekhinah, and Sun El Musician.

“It’s a platform to celebrate our rich musical landscape,” De Villiers added, highlighting the festival’s commitment to showcasing homegrown talent.

This year’s festival is set to be more than just music. The Flying Fish Beach Club will be a new addition, offering a vibrant atmosphere for attendees to dance, relax, and soak up the sun.

“It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer season with friends and great vibes,” De Villiers explained.

In an exciting first, Rocking the Daisies will host an outdoor sunset fashion showcase in collaboration with Galxboy, featuring the top five designers from the 2024 Festival Fashion Talent Search.

This cosmic catwalk will highlight creative outfits that embody the festival’s celestial theme. “Fashion and music are intertwined; it’s all about expressing yourself,” said designer Luna Hart.

For those looking to get competitive, the SuperSportBet Sports Centre will feature indoor soccer, hoops, and more.

“We’re excited to bring an element of competition to the festival,” stated spokesperson Max Nkosi.

“There are major bragging rights and awesome prizes for the champs.”

A new attraction this year is Daisy Town, a whimsical hub filled with art installations, shopping stalls, and immersive experiences.

“It’s a magical space where creativity meets community,” said art curator Jessie Mthembu. Attendees can enjoy cocktails while exploring this enchanting district.

As the sun sets, revellers can head to the Maybelline Station, a late-night hotspot for those looking to keep the party going. “The energy here is electric, and we’re ready to see everyone lose themselves in the music,” noted DJ Zola.
