Positioned as the flagship variant, the Outback XT stands out as the most powerful iteration of the legendary Outback model. The Outback XT boasts a newly introduced 2,4-litre turbocharged boxer engine, delivering 183 kW and 350 N.m of torque. Derived from the acclaimed WRX model, the powertrain is coupled with a CVT and Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, ensuring optimal power delivery to all four wheels. The increased power and torque allow the Outback XT to offer an improved towing capacity of 1 800 kg while achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 7,5 seconds.

“The Outback is synonymous with capability, and the ‘XT’ designation represents Subaru’s most advanced engineering and technology, now with added power,” said Nteo Nkoli, Marketing Manager at Subaru Southern Africa.

Visually, the Subaru Outback XT distinguishes itself with striking 18-inch black alloy wheels, complementing its overall sporty and rugged appearance. Beyond the exterior enhancements, the Outback XT is packed with the latest Subaru technologies, making it the safest and most capable Outback ever produced. Built upon the Subaru Global Platform, the vehicle incorporates improvements in structural integrity, primary safety features, and advanced safety systems.

The Outback XT shares several key features with the other models in the lineup. It includes Subaru’s innovative Driver Monitoring System and DriverFocus™ Distraction Mitigation System, designed to enhance driver safety. The interior of the Outback XT showcases an 11,6-inch portrait-oriented infotainment system, which now comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This feature will be available across all new MY2023 Outback models.

The Subaru Outback XT is offered in a range of nine captivating body colours, including Autumn Green Metallic and Brilliant Bronze Metallic, adding further personalization options for customers.
