JOHANNESBURG- Mamelodi Sundowns extended their lead to the top of the table to four points after coming back from a goal down to beat Baroka 2-1 on Sunday.
Baroka took the lead after Lucky Nguzana scored in early in the first half but Sundowns come back with goals from Wayne Arendse and Percy Tau in the 50th minute to bag all three points.
The win extend their lead to four points to their nearest rivals Orlando Pirates with both teams playing the same amount of games.
Thapelo Morena of Sundowns speaking to Supersport said, “First of all I had to thank God and the technical team, who gave me a chance coming back from injury.
“The game was very tough, but we had to do what we had to do. They scored first and we had to fight for the goals that we scored.
“Things we do during the game is what we do at training, so it’s easy for us to see through situations like that even under difficult circumstances.
“But we are always working to get things right,”
Sundowns are on 49 points, while Pirates on 45 points in second.
