South Africa suffered the loss of Dumi Masilela in the entertainment industry, in August this year.
The artist was involved in a highjacking which left him shot to death, leaving his new wife and family. One of the suspects linked to the murder of the TV personality has allegedly confessed to the police about witnessing his killing. Mfundo Nkosi, one of the two men who appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court this weekend, was allegedly part of a gang of six men who has highjacked a Jeep in Daveyton before the shooting of Masilela occurred. The two gang members who appeared in court are both facing a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances linked to Masilela’s murder. Nkosi has turned himself in after he heard his partner had been arrested, which led him to confessing about witnessing the murder himself. In his confession, according to the investigating officer Detective Mthokozisi Ngwenya, he claims that the owner of the stolen Jeep was in his car with the gang when they attempted the highjack.

In the alleged confession, Nkosi admitted that he was present when Dumi Masilela was gunned down, but was not the one who pulled the trigger. More news is still to come as the case is still pending.
