Theatre legend Dawn Lindberg dies aged 75

Johannesburg – Theatre legend, Dawn Lindberg has died of a Covid-19 related illness. According to her husband, Des, Dawn died last night.

The 75-year-old was the founder of the Naledi Awards that celebrate talent in South Africa theatre.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that the founder and CEO of the Naledi Theatre Awards Dawn Lindberg passed away this evening from Covid-related illness,” said the Naledi Theatre Awards in a statement.

Lindberg and her husband were household names in the South African theatre space, known and loved for their stage and screen performances.

Condolences have been pouring in following the news of her passing.
