
JOHANNESBURG – Stadium Management South Africa announced on Thursday morning that tickets for the much-anticipated clash between Premier Soccer League champion Mamelodi Sundowns and La Liga giant Barcelona have go on sale on.
Not much information has been released about the friendly match that will form part of Nelson Mandela Centenary Celebration. Stadium management CEO Jacques Grobbelaar, tweeted that tickets will go on sale on Thursday morning, despite no confirmation from Barcelona.
Grobbelaar also confirmed that the match will take place on May the 16th, dismissing the reports that it will be a day earlier.
Tickets will range from R40 to R550.
Sundowns and the Motsepe Foundation said they will hold a press conference on Thursday morning to make another announcement regarding the fixture.
The game has been endorsed by the PSL and Sundowns CAF Champions League match has been postponed until 22 of May.
