Tom Moyane’s former PA accused of lying

Johannesburg – Former SARS spokesperson Adrian Lackay’s lawyer accused Tom Moyane’s former personal assistant of fabricating testimony, on Tuesday.
Lackay’s lawyer Advocate Richard Moultrie told the former PA Sister Sbongile Mashinini that “”What you are saying is a recent fabrication because that has never been put to Mr Lackay,”
Mashinini was called to testify after their failed attempt of postponing the hearing to Thursday. The hearing was going to be postponed to the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) at the offices of law firm in Sandton.
This follows after Lackay laid a case against SARS for constructive dismissal.
Lackay who has been an employee at SARS for 11 years, handed in his resignation letter in February 2015 after he said he was forced to leave by SARS after it became unsustainable to associate himself with the ongoing at the company.
Advocate Wisani Sibuyi who is standing for SARS, placed a request to the CCMA commissioner Joyce Nkopane to postpone the hearing to Thursday.
Moultrie said he found this request to be illogical and Nkopane agreed with him
Nkopane said, “I honestly cannot find any reasons to postpone. At the heart of this is that we speedily resolve matters. We are running the risk of dragging the matter. I do not understand the rational for the postponement.”
