Trump being Trump in his SOTU speech

Washington- Donald Trump delivered his first State of the Union address as president Tuesday night as he outlined his accomplishment in his first year of office and proposals of what his administration would like to accomplish this year.

Keeping to his campaign promises of the on the notion of “America first”, the first half of his speech centered around how the domestic policy was important during his administration, highlighting tax cuts, growth in the economy, low unemployment rate, immigration and regulatory reform. Trump continued to trot his success, as he believed all his success had been overlooked by the media, as he pushed congress to consider his immigration compromise of taking in 1.8 million DREAMERS-  young children arriving illegally with their parents, but the wall still had to be built. Trump defense of stricter immigration is what he believes is the negative impact of immigration, he said, “for decades open borders have allowed drugs and gangs to pour into our most vulnerable communities” and reiterated that the immigration policy is “broken” and, “a single immigrant can bring in virtually unlimited numbers of distant relatives.”

Trump concluded that the US and their allies had defeated ISIS in ISIS territory strong holds in Syria and Libya, it remains to be seen if ISIS still has mantle outside territory held regions.
