Tshwane electricity: Gautrain threatens COT with court action

Pretoria – Gautrain is threatening to take the City of Tshwane to court if its water and electricity at the Hatfield Station are not restored immediately.

It said its accounts are up to date and the City disconnected their power illegally.

Tshwane officials have been disconnecting supply to companies and government facilities which have not paid their utilities.

Those who have defaulted on payments are also being named and shamed on social media in the campaign, which started a week ago.

Gautrain is accused of owing R10-million. However, operations have not been disturbed.
