UIF tells applicants to fill out forms correctly

Johannesburg – Applications for the Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) need to be filled out correctly.

The UIF said no payments will be made if important information is missing.

According to Acting Commissioner Mzi Yawa, this was the issue with many applications from Numsa members.

On Wednesday, the union took to the streets of Pretoria over outstanding payments.

“Those that applied, the workers who Numsa represents. They didn’t supply all that was needed,” said Yawa.

“So we met with Numsa and showed them what is needed then they have to go back to the applicants and get relevant information. And once all of that information is corrected we should be able to pay.”
