UPDATE: Convicted racist Momberg’s case postponed

JOHANNESBURG – Convicted racist Vicki Momberg’s application for leave to appeal her sentence has been postponed to 18 April.

The postponement is for the defense to submit supplementary papers.

Momberg appeared in court on Wednesday at the Randburg Magistrates Court, she was found guilty for her verbally abusive and racist  language and sentenced to three years in prison, with one year being suspended.

She was found guilty on four counts of crimen injuria for her abusive, racial slurs at black officials who tried to help her after a smash-and-grab incident. The incident was all caught on camera, she was denied bail pending her appeal.
