JOHANNESBURG- EFF has backed their deputy president Floyd Shivambu after his is attack on the Treasury’s deputy director-general Ismail Momoniat.
Shivambu accused Momoniat of being un-African and disregarding African leaders at the Treasury.
The party said they stand by the Shivambu comments that Momoniat has continuously undermined African leadership and accused Momoniat of assiging all the power to the National Treasury to himself.
Shivambu spoke to Eyewitness News said he will not be apologetic for his views nor that the party supported his views and will not withdraw his comments.
“The fact that he’s undermining the African ministers, deputy ministers and directors.”
EFF has said Momoniat has tried to micro manage the process of the National Treasury.
“Whenever the National Treasury wants to speak, he always wants to be in front of everyone and undermining those that are dealing with the Treasury.”\
EFF said they will not stop criticizing Momoniat just because he has struggle credentials.
