
JOHANNESBURG- The court heard on Monday that the prosecution team had “new developments” in the case against Sandile Mantsoe who allegedly murdered his girlfriend Karabo Mokoena.
The new developments heard in the South Gauteng Court that, state advocate Pakanyiswa Marasela told the court, “There were some new developments that caused the State not to be ready for today,” the reason they asked for a postponement.
Mantsoe lawyer Victor Simelane had no problem with the request, as he too had to consult with his client.
He added that his client will challenge an application from the media who want to record the proceedings and televise it.
Mantsoe appeared calm during his appearance, dressed in a grey suit.
Karabo Mokoena family and friends were also present at the gallery.
Mantsoe has been charged with premeditated murder of Mokoena.
The trial is expected to resume later this month.
