Cassper Nyovest may have filled up stadiums in many parts of South Africa but Fill Up Moses Mabhida stadium has apparently left him in R7 million debt.
Just hours after the shows Cassper expressed his frustration “losing millions” on potential sponsorships and broken promises.
Speaking on Tuesday on SABC he revealed the extent of his losses, “Most often we find ourselves in positions where we need funding, we need sponsorships, from institutions like the government and we were not supported like we should be. For instance, we just came from (Moses) Mabhida (Stadium) and right now we are sitting with R7-million debt,” he said during the interview.
Fans reacted with shock to the revelation and soon Cassper’s social media pages were buzzing in support.
He claimed that some departments and organisation pledge money for the concert but when it was crunch time they did not pull through.
Fans were shocked by the disclosure with Cassper saying the led up to the event was hard, “It was tough. I saw my manager cry for the first time. Just before I got on stage, as we were praying he broke down. That’s when I told myself, ‘Cassper, it’s your turn to carry the team now.’ The next day we killed the Global Citizen show. Blessed and favoured.”
