NEW YORK- A woman who climbed the base of the Statue of Liberty on Wednesday afternoon, which resulted in a evacuation of the New York Harbor island where the monument stands hours before the big Independence Day (July 4th) celebrations including fireworks displays which were scheduled to begin nearby.
