LONDON- Ever been stressed to search for parking? Looking for that elusive parking space? If you answered yes then fear now more, those days may been soon gone thanks to a new ‘collaborative parking’ technology being tested in the UK.
A study by Ford says a driver can spend more than a day each year looking for parking space.
The new technology tested this week shows a “crowd-sourced” map of available parking spaces, the technology will work well in formal cark spaces.
Collaborative parking works by collecting data from the parking sensors of vehicles using the to car park.
The information on the map shows which spaces may be free and incorporates data from the car parks’ with its own monitoring systems.
